Old MAME dat

In this period (of work for the super-site for 1000 and more than one set of pinball added in version 0.141u1 ) I floated an idea that I already had in mind for a long time ...

While browsing around for a long time for dat to early versions of MAME, I was never able to fulfill my desire.

At this point the idea: I will do it myself!

It is not easy: the executable of the first MAME xml and neither has neither list, then ClrMAME can not automatically create the dat; to create them I used the old set (not full unfortunately) that I found in CD that I had done (thanks to St. mame . ... dk) in the late 90s, so I studied line by line, the driver of the games, all files readme and whatsnew . A long and painstaking.

So, after rebuilding the old sets (from 0:01 to 0:27 ) I created (with the function of Dir2Dat ClrMAME) of dat brand new.

At this point (always follow the readme ) I manually edited all dat to determine the relationship parent / clone and to indicate the exact name of the game (in the Description field ).

A hard work and certainly not free of mistakes ... The result of all this will soon available to all (I think during the next week), I would be happy if someone in possession of old sets, help me by performing scans and detecting inconsistencies.
